Oudeland Texel
Dorpsstraat 175, 1796 CC De Koog, Netherlands, Texel
Culinary gem with open kitchen on Texel
Oudeland Texel brings the island’s terroir to the table in a restaurant, wine bar, and traiteur rolled into one. Here, sustainability and craftsmanship define every dish and glass, with ingredients sourced as locally as possible—from the fertile soils of Texel’s old land, where the island began. The team works on a "nose-to-tail" principle, ensuring nothing goes to waste, while their own chickens turn food scraps into eggs used in the kitchen.
Dutch cuisine takes centre stage, prepared with pride and a focus on honest flavours. The monthly changing surprise menu follows the 80/20 Dutch Cuisine philosophy, offering three, four, or five courses. Guests can watch chefs at work in the open kitchen, where local Aberdeen Angus beef ages in a Dry Ager and seasonal produce is transformed into dishes like crab with pear and walnut bouillon. Recognised by Gault Millau and Michelin, Oudeland pairs its food with a curated selection of natural wines. Open from 15:00 to 23:00 on Wednesdays through Sundays, with seasonal closures.
