De Waddel

De Waddel is a family-run sheep farm in the historic Hoge Berg area on Texel, where Texel sheep graze in rolling meadows bordered by traditional stone walls. For 45 years, the farm has produced raw-milk Texel sheep’s cheese—recognised as culinary heritage by Slow Food’s Ark of Taste—alongside Texel lamb, sold in their farm shop. The shop opens Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10:30 to 12:30, offering cheese, lamb, Waddel sausage, jam, eggs, and sheepskins, while a self-service vending machine provides products outside these hours.
