Voedselbos Texel

Discover Voedselbos Texel, a six-hectare food forest on Texel where biodiversity and sustainable farming create a unique experience. Established in 1994, this lush space features over 3,000 trees, 5,000 shrubs, and 25,000 plants, yielding more than 100 varieties of fruit, vegetables, flowers, nuts, and herbs.

From 01 November to 01 April, the self-service farm shop offers homemade jams, syrups, and Texel products. From 01 April 2026, the garden opens for daily fruit picking (10:00-16:00), with availability depending on ripeness. Children can enjoy the Kabouterpad trail (€5 per child, ages 1-6) or ride Jeep skelters through the forest. A covered terrace serves homemade treats, while a mini petting zoo features chickens, rabbits, and lambs. Yoga classes (€15) are held on Saturdays in July and August from 08:30-10:00.
